WHAT: An in-depth acrylic painting class. You will be asked to explore your experience as a veteran and tell your story of transitioning from military life through a self-portrait or other subject as an avenue of self-expression. Artist John Kleber or Artist Victoria Bianco and artist/Veteran Wesley Evans will lead you through a series of painting exercises over two days that will result in a finished 18” x 20” painting.

WHERE: Workshops are offered in County libraries, Veteran building, and other suitable public locations. See each workshop for date, location and time.

WHEN: Workshops are being offered February & March 2017. Choose the date, time and location that works well for you when you register.

Your registration helps us know how much art material to bring to the workshop. We will email you a conformation of your registration or inform you if the workshop has been canceled due to low enrollment.

AC5 is pleased to be partnering with the Contra Costa Veterans Service Department and the Contra Costa Library.

FUNDING: The California Arts Council’s Veterans Initiative in the Arts program and Contra Costa County offer this program as a free service to veterans living or working in Contra Costa County.
