Thank you for supporting the animals

November Giving Drive

November is a time for giving thanks, especially at CCAS. As we begin to reflect on 2018, we are extremely thankful for our community that has made possible hundreds of adoptions, fosters and rescues over the last ten months. Likewise, we are thankful for the efforts of our staff and volunteers who care for and socialize the animals on a daily basis. The phrase “it takes a village” is no more evident than at Contra Costa Animals Services, as it really does take a village to care for and find homes for the 10,000+ animals that come into our care each year. That is why CCAS is launching an important November Giving Drive to raise much-needed funding for the Animal Benefit Fund to allow us to do even more.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 between November 1st and Giving Tuesday (November 27th) for our medical division that is experiencing more severe trauma cases than ever before. Your contributions to the CCAS November Giving Drive will ensure that animals coming into our care receive the medical services they most need. Making a donation is simple and only takes a minute or two. Anyone who donates $100 or more during the November Giving Drive will be granted one free adoption that can be gifted to a friend and redeemed within one year from the date of donation. You can contribute to the CCAS November Giving Drive by going to the CCAS website home page and clicking on the Donate button. Read on to learn more about our November adoption promotion, adoption success stories and much, much more.

November Adoption Promotion

$25 for 25

Beginning November 13th and running through the end of the month, all dogs over 25 lbs will have a set adoption fee of only $25. We will also honor the promotion for any cat that is over 25 lbs, but may require you to get a zoo keeper’s permit ;)

Adopted!

Adoption Update

Nala (#A0897889) was at our Martinez shelter for 11 months patiently waiting to find her forever home! She was adopted a couple days ago and we just received this sweet picture of her in her new home. We're so happy she finally found the loving home she deserves.
