Surgery Requirements

  • For safety purposes, animals are to be under control at all times, either on a leash or in a carrier box when they are brought to the Spay/Neuter Clinic.
  • Appointments are necessary for spay or neuter surgeries.  [Appointments are not necessary for vaccinations only.  Our Vaccination Drop-In Clinic is open each Saturday, excluding holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: Due to time constraints, we must limit the number of clients served at the Vaccination Drop-In Clinic.  First come, first served for up to 80 clients.]
  • All animals must have proper vaccinations before surgery, which may be given at the time of the pre-operative exam on the day of surgery. If your pet has received the vaccinations from your veterinarian, please present the certification before surgery.
  • Payment for all fees is due at the time of the pre-operative exam.
  • Food must be withheld for at least 12 hours before bringing your pet in for surgery. This is necessary to prevent the inhalation of vomit while under anesthesia.
  • It's important that you deliver and pick up your pet at the specified times.
  • For more information or to schedule a surgery appointment, please call the Spay/Neuter Clinic at 925-335-8320.
